Python Programmer

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Python Programmer to support research and development work on data-driven projects, web scraping, and backtesting. Key Responsibilities

Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
Teach and guide me through Python concepts, code structure, and best practices so I can use and modify the code myself
Develop and maintain web scraping scripts to collect daily data from various sources
Automate data pipelines to ensure structured and unstructured data is processed efficiently
Optimize and scale scraping processes to ensure reliability and performance
Implement backtesting frameworks to evaluate strategies on historical data
Work with large datasets, ensuring data accuracy, cleaning, and transformation
Develop tools for analyzing and visualizing backtesting results
Implement error handling and monitoring to manage failures in scraping and backtesting jobs
Requirements

Strong Python programming skills or willingness and capability to learn (e.g. NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, BeautifulSoup, Selenium, Scrapy, Requests)
Experience with web scraping techniques and handling anti-scraping measures
Ability to optimize code for performance, efficiency, and robustness
Willingness to explain concepts and help explain Python effectively
