ABOUT STRATEGIC VISIONZ
Strategic Visionz is a business process consulting company that produces software and automation solutions to solve specific business problems. Our parent company, a fast-growing moving and junk removal company based in Long Island, NY, has been honored as one of NewsDay's Best Places to Work and named to the INC 5000 list of Fastest Growing Companies in America four years in a row.
Since 2008, we've successfully worked with remote teams worldwide, building long-term relationships. We're proud of the opportunities we've created for our tea
THE CHALLENGE
At Strategic Visionz, we create and maintain custom software solutions that help companies improve their operations. We take the approach of business process consulting and use a combination of low code, integrations and custom development to create winning solutions.
We're not just building pretty interfaces - we're crafting complex, data-driven solutions for businesses managing remote workforces. We're seeking a Senior Product Designer to join our dynamic team and drive the next phase of our flagship product's evolution, as well as future innovative projects.
Low code does NOT mean low skill - we're simply utilizing production platforms to bring custom software solutions to market faster. This gives you the opportunity to work on a variety of projects over time. As we continue to grow, we're looking for someone who can grow with us, taking on increasing responsibilities and helping to shape our future.
THE ROLE
Are you a Software Interface Product Designer brimming with curiosity and ideas? Does the thought of being the centerpiece of a team, blending your creativity with technical know-how, excite you? If you love being part of the process from start to finish and guiding a team towards a shared vision, then you could be our new Product Designer.
As our new Product Designer, you'll be the linchpin between our US-based product manager and our Philippines-based development team. This isn't a role for the faint-hearted - it requires a unique blend of design expertise, technical acumen, and self-motivation. You'll need to:
1. Master the Complex: Our flagship product has evolved over 8 years, and we're deep into its next-gen version. Be ready to immerse yourself in intricate business processes and technical constraints. Dive into its intricacies, understand its users, and shape its future. But don't get too comfortable - there are more projects on the horizon.
2. Master Low-Code, Deliver High Impact: Create workflow-based UIs that actually solve problems. Use Figma to shape your ideas based on the requirements, then roll up your sleeves and work directly with the team to implement them using low/no-code platforms like WeWeb, Xano and Tadabase.
3. Sync or Sink: Work in lockstep with our Product Manager. Your designs aren't just your vision - they're the embodiment of a coordinated team effort. Be ready to align, adapt, and execute on shared priorities.
4. Bridge the Gap: We need someone who can work collaboratively to find and implement clever solutions that balance user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.
5. Lead the Charge: Guide our PH-based team towards our shared vision. Set goals, knock down obstacles, and keep projects moving. Your leadership skills will be put to the test daily.
6. Embrace the Learning Curve: Our industry is complex. Be prepared to spend significant time understanding the nuances of enterprise software, regulatory requirements, and technical limitations. Your ability to adapt and grow is crucial.
7. Fuel Understanding with Curiosity & Great Questions: The right candidate is insatiably curious, using their curiosity as fuel to ask great questions and further their understanding. Your insatiable desire to learn and probe deeper will be the driving force behind your success in this complex environment.
8. Exemplify Self-Motivation and Initiative: Thrive in a work-from-home environment by proactively seeking tasks and solutions. Demonstrate sharp comprehension and the ability to learn with minimal hand-holding. Take initiative to look for tasks and understand how things work, especially when no one is watching.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Design & Implement: Create workflow-based UIs in Figma, then bring them to life using low-code platforms. If being directly involved in both design and implementation doesn't excite you, this isn't the role for you.
2. Collaborate & Convince: Engage with the team, present your designs, and be ready to explain and defend your design decisions. But also know when to pivot based on feedback.
3. User-Centric Design: Create experiences that users love. Place the user at the center of every design decision, creating intuitive and engaging experiences. If they don't, go back to the drawing board.
4. Design System Mastery: Develop and maintain a design system that keeps our products cohesive and our team efficient.
5. Prototype & Test: Build prototypes, gather user feedback, and iterate. Rinse and repeat until it's right.
6. Never Stop Learning: Stay on top of design trends, master new tools, and keep pushing the boundaries of what's possible with low-code.
7. Document Everything: Your designs and decisions need to be clear to everyone, even when you're not in the room.
8. Embrace AI: Explore how AI can supercharge your design process. If it can make us better, faster, stronger - use it.
