Part-time podcast editor

This is a part-time position of likely several hours per week, enough to edit and produce an audio and video podcast on a biweekly basis with plans to publish on a weekly basis in the future. I am looking though for someone who wants to be in it with me for the long run and grow into this position, possibly expand to roles in the company and be paid on an hourly basis.

Essential qualities:
Experience working in Descript and editing podcasts
Highly communicative. VA can work whatever hours they choose as long as they meet deadlines, but they must provide updates and communicate proactively - no exceptions. No ghosting, extensive periods of time with sickness and/or without Internet access
High standard of excellence: Detail-oriented, MUST be able to follow SOPs, receive, and incorporate feedback with the expectation that the mistake made will not be repeated; finds mistakes and fixes them on their own
Quick turnaround time with tasks and completed projects; must be able to meet and exceed deadlines
Growth mindset: This is not just a job, this is your chance to grow with a company. Although this is part-time, it has the potential to grow into more.
Be passionate about changing the world and having an impact. You must be invested in the ideals of the company and my mission.
Be passionate about podcasts. Be genuinely interested in the field, what’s working for other podcasts, and presents ideas for improvements

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Editing podcast audio and videos to be publish ready without corrections and oversight
Pulling and editing clips for Reels, TikTok, and YouTube shorts
Analytics: Track, update, and analyze podcast-related KPIs with ownership on growing and improving them
Maintain and update SOP according to the latest processes
Contacting podcast guests prior and after podcasts
Potentially writing show notes
Other tasks as needed

The hiring range is $5-$8/hour or $25-$40/episode and expected work time is 2-5 hours per week. It may be more or less depending on the work load.
