As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Website Developer to join our team in a part-time capacity, with the potential for full-time work in the near future.

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Website Developer with at least 5 years of experience working with Joomla and WordPress CMS platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to creatively set up websites, update existing websites, and troubleshoot any error messages or issues that may arise. You should be knowledgeable in SEO best practices, including the proper use of meta descriptions, alt tags for images, and other on-page SEO techniques.

This part-time role will involve developing and maintaining websites, ensuring optimal performance, and working with our design team to deliver user-friendly, aesthetically pleasing, and functional websites. While knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP is an asset, it is not a requirement.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and design new websites using Joomla CMS.
• Perform regular updates, maintenance, and troubleshooting of existing websites. Including Joomla, WordPress & Wix CMS sites.
• Address and resolve any error messages or functionality issues on websites.
• Ensure that all websites follow SEO best practices, including meta descriptions, alt tags for images, and proper structuring of content for search engine optimization.
• Collaborate with the design team to ensure websites are both visually appealing and user-friendly.
• Ensure that websites are responsive, optimized for fast loading, and adhere to best practices for web development.
• Communicate effectively with clients to ensure their website needs are met and expectations are exceeded.

Requirements:
• At least 5 years of experience working with Joomla and WordPress CMS platforms.
• Proven experience in setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting websites.
• Strong understanding of SEO best practices, including meta descriptions, alt tags, and on-page SEO techniques.
• Ability to creatively design and set up new websites from the ground up.
• Basic knowledge of web development languages such as HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP is an asset but not required.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with additional CMS platforms or web design tools.
• Familiarity with website analytics tools and SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Yoast SEO).
• Knowledge of website security best practices.
• Experience working remotely or in a flexible work environment.
