JOB OVERVIEW

We run a TypeScript monorepo (web apps + backend
services) on Supabase/Postgres,
deployed on Vercel. We're looking for a reliable
part-time backend developer to
join long-term (~15-25 hours/week) and take on
assigned backend tasks across the
codebase.

This is ongoing staff-augmentation work: you'll pick
up well-scoped tasks — API
endpoints, database migrations, background services,
and third-party integrations
— submit them as pull requests, and iterate with us
through code review.

What you'll work on:
- Server-side API route handlers (Next.js App Router)
and their data layer
- PostgreSQL / Supabase migrations and Row-Level
Security (RLS) policies
- Standalone Node.js background services (data
pipelines, schedulers, workers)
- Third-party API integrations and webhook handlers
- Automated tests (unit + end-to-end) for everything
you build
- Bug fixing — writing a failing test first, then
fixing it

Must-have skills:
- Strong TypeScript and Node.js
- Solid PostgreSQL (queries, migrations, indexing)
- Comfortable with React / Next.js (App Router) on the
server side
- Git + pull-request workflow; clean, reviewable
commits
- You write tests as a habit, not an afterthought
- Clear written English and dependable communication

Nice to have:
- Supabase specifically (Auth, RLS, Edge Functions)
- Monorepo experience (pnpm workspaces, Turborepo)
- Integrating CRMs / third-party APIs and webhooks
- Zod or similar schema-validation libraries

How we work:
- Long-term, ongoing, part-time (~15-25 hrs/week,
flexible)
- Branch per task -> pull request -> code review
before merge
- Async-first, with a short daily overlap with our
working hours
- We value reliability, security-consciousness, and
clean code over raw speed

Security & confidentiality:
Our codebase touches customer data, so professionalism
with credentials and data
is essential. You'll start in a development/staging
environment and earn broader
access over time. An NDA is signed before access is
granted.

To apply:
Reply with the subject line "Backend Dev - [your
favorite programming language]"
and include:
1. A backend project you built with TypeScript + a SQL
database (what it did,
your role).
2. A link to your GitHub or code samples.
3. Your available hours/week and your timezone.
4. Your expected monthly (or hourly) rate for
part-time work.

Applications that don't follow these steps won't be
considered.
