POSITION SUMMARY
--------------------------------------------------------
The Mitigation & Rebuild Estimator is responsible for producing
accurate, complete Xactimate estimates for water, mold, and fire
mitigation projects as well as rebuild work.
You will review field documentation, photographs, Matterport
scans, technician notes, equipment logs, and project scopes —
and turn them into professional estimates within a 24-hour
turnaround window.
This is a remote-friendly, high-output role. You will work
independently with clear expectations, strong documentation
support from our field team, and the backing of a leadership
team invested in your success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
--------------------------------------------------------
ESTIMATE PREPARATION
• Write accurate mitigation and rebuild estimates using Xactimate
• Complete and submit estimates within 24 hours of receiving
project documentation
• Review technician notes, production manager notes, moisture
maps, equipment logs, and project scopes
• Ensure all work performed is properly documented and captured
in estimates
DOCUMENTATION REVIEW
• Analyze jobsite photographs to identify water damage,
demolition, drying equipment, contents manipulation, and
specialty drying systems
• Verify all scope items against field documentation
• Use pre- and post-mitigation documentation to identify scope
of work, materials, quantities, and additional adjuster info
MATTERPORT & SKETCHING
• Utilize Matterport scans and 3D imaging to build accurate
Xactimate sketches
• Measure and sketch room dimensions, cabinets, doors, windows,
closets, appliances, fixtures, and built-in features
• Ensure sketches accurately represent the affected structure
EQUIPMENT BILLING
• Review drying logs and monitoring reports
• Identify and accurately bill for air movers, dehumidifiers,
air scrubbers, HEPA filtration equipment, Injectidry systems,
and specialty drying equipment
• Calculate proper equipment duration and billing
CONTENTS ESTIMATING
• Estimate contents manipulation, packing/unpacking labor,
and storage-related activities
• Document and bill for furniture movement and protection
QUALITY CONTROL
• Verify estimate accuracy before every submission
• Confirm all documentation supports billed line items
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry
standards

QUALIFICATIONS
--------------------------------------------------------
REQUIRED
• Hands-on experience with Xactimate
• Restoration industry experience
• Solid understanding of water mitigation processes
• Ability to interpret field photos and documentation
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines consistently
PREFERRED (NOT REQUIRED)
• IICRC Certifications: WRT, ASD, or AMRT
• Experience with Matterport
• Experience working directly with insurance claims
• Prior mitigation estimating experience
