About the company
We are recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing UK-based vehicle logistics tech company. They have built a platform that automates vehicle movement between dealerships and customers across the UK, cutting delivery times from over a week down to 24-48 hours. As their volume grows, they are building a dedicated operations support team to keep things running at that standard.
About the role
Every vehicle that moves through the platform has to be confirmed before a driver is ever dispatched. That confirmation has to be accurate. One wrong digit on a vehicle reference ID means a car cannot be picked up because it is not insured. A missed drop-off confirmation means a customer is waiting and the whole chain is delayed.
You will own this process end to end, working closely with the operations team, and you will be responsible for guiding and supporting a junior tea
Day to day, you will:
- Make outbound confirmation calls to dealerships, customers, and drivers before each vehicle collection and delivery
- Verify and cross-check vehicle details, catching and correcting any discrepancies before they cause delays
- Handle retail deliveries which require two separate calls - one to confirm collection and one to confirm the customer is available to receive the vehicle
- Sync with drivers on last-minute tasks or customer requests such as fueling, charging, or special handling
- Manage escalations and handle difficult conversations with professionalism and calm
- Identify patterns and flag opportunities to improve the confirmation process over time
- Oversee and support the junior tea
What we are looking for
- 3-5 years of experience in customer service, operations, or a similar role
- Excellent English communication, verbal and written - you will be speaking with UK dealerships, customers, and drivers daily
- Exceptional attention to detail - the accuracy of your work directly affects the whole operation
- Confident and empathetic on the phone, particularly in high-pressure or fast-moving situations
- Strong conflict resolution skills
- Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or transport is a strong advantage - if you have worked for companies like Flexport or similar, we want to hear from you
- Comfortable taking full ownership of a process and supporting others
Work setup requirements
- Fast, reliable internet connection
- Quiet, professional work environment - this is a call-heavy role and audio quality matters
- Good quality headset
- A dedicated workspace free from background noise and interruptions
- Full-time, UK working hours
