JOB OVERVIEW

Job Type: Part-time start on 25 hours per week with the opportunity for full-time and long-term employment.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8AM – 1PM AEST. Schedule can be negotiated if need.
Start Date: Immediate

As the business expands into the AI and digital space, we're looking for a highly experienced and proactive Merchandise Leader Specialist to join and lead our team.

This is a no-training-required role, ideal for a candidate who is experienced in promotional merchandise that can hit the ground running with minimal guidance.

Merchandising Experience & Skillset

- Experience and industry knowledge across Merchandise, Promotional Products and Apparel is a key priority for this role as you will lead the team in this area.
- Bring valuable merchandise & promotional industry knowledge including the ability to identify best suited products and suppliers for client enquiries
- Oversee and manage merchandise orders; coordinate design with the design team, operations, production and manage timelines based on turnarounds
- Communicate effectively with suppliers & clients; proofing, orders and ensuring deadlines are met (confidence in email and phone communications)
- Assist the sales team by confidently recommending solutions and create Quotes effectively incorporating expert knowledge and understanding of suppliers, products, decoration and print for client solutions
- Effectively prepare designs for production; coordinate graphic design team, ensure file accuracy formats, align branding, colour match and print specifications

A strong understanding of the industry will be essential for identifying the best suppliers, products, and decoration methods for our clients. The right candidate will have the ability to recommend and request new supplier partnerships where necessary.

Quoting & Communications Skillset
- Strong communication skills with the ability to ask insightful questions and effectively engage with clients to ensure deliverables align with scope
- Serve as one of primary points of contact for Merchandise & Decoration solutions for the team and clients (email and phone communications)
- Provide accurate and efficient Quotes, demonstrating strong knowledge of decoration techniques and pricing structures
- Conduct regular check-ins with clients and suppliers via calls and emails to ensure smooth communication for project and production flow
- Resolve client service complaints effectively, maintaining a high level of professionalism
- Manage client accounts, including regular client check-ins, prompt responses, and organising client files

Requirements:
- Professional confidence in phone calls & emailing with fluent English and outstanding communication and relationship building skills
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Experience with Hoops software (or similar)
- Strong knowledge and expertise in Merchandise Industry & Decoration
- Experience with Xero software (or similar)
- Exceptional project management & organisational skills, with a focus on managing deadlines and multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to create detailed, accurate quotes and manage end-to-end order processes with suppliers
- A self-starter, ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on resolving client issues efficiently

Graphic Design Skills (Bonus)
Graphic design experience is a valuable bonus for this role, enhancing merchandising expertise and overall performance.
- Manage and coordinate design projects – manage design team who will assist with design projects and communicate feedback effectively to meet quality standards and scopes

- Create and prepare artwork for decoration production for Merchandise & Promotional Products
- Complete graphic design projects including custom sublimated shirts, branding & logos, custom designs for merchandise etc to quality standards and scope
- Oversee and manage delivery of design projects; coordinate proofs, approvals, and client feedback to meet deadlines
- Expert skills in using Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop
