Position: Part-Time (with potential for Full-Time) 20 hours per week
Hours: 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM Central Time Zone (CST)
Workdays: Monday - Friday
Salary Range: $5 to $6 per hour (Depending on Experience)

Responsibilities
1. Appointment Scheduling & Reminders:
Manage the scheduling of patient appointments, ensuring accurate and timely booking.
Send reminders to patients about upcoming appointments, confirming their details and providing necessary information.
Coordinate with healthcare providers to maintain their schedules and adjust appointment times as needed.
2. Patient Records Management:
Accurately input and update patient information in our AthenaOne EMR system.
Ensure patient records are complete, compliant with healthcare regulations, and securely stored.
Retrieve, organize, and update patient records as needed for medical staff during patient visits.
3. Claims Processing & Insurance Verification:
Process insurance claims, ensuring that all necessary documentation is complete and submitted in a timely manner.
Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary pre-authorizations for treatments and procedures.
Resolve any billing discrepancies with insurance providers or patients.
4. Handling Patient Inquiries & Correspondence:
Serve as the primary point of contact for patient inquiries, addressing questions regarding appointments, billing, and general healthcare concerns.
Respond to
Manage patient correspondence and follow-up on requests as needed.
5. Coordinating with Healthcare Professionals:
Act as the liaison between healthcare providers and patients to ensure timely and effective communication.
Assist in coordinating patient care, referring patients to specialists, and ensuring proper follow-up.
Help facilitate communication within the team and across departments to enhance the patient care experience.
6. Managing Telehealth Platforms:
Assist in setting up and supporting telehealth consultations, ensuring all technical aspects are functioning correctly.
Guide patients through the telehealth process, ensuring they have the necessary tools and knowledge to attend their virtual appointments.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise during telehealth visits.
7.
Sort, respond to, and prioritize incoming
Send newsletters and health updates to patients or relevant stakeholders as needed.
Maintain an organized communication system that ensures no messages are overlooked.
8. Billing Support:
Assist with the preparation and processing of billing statements for patients and insurance providers.
Ensure that patient charges are accurately recorded, and billing inquiries are addressed efficiently.
Track outstanding payments and follow up with patients or insurance companies regarding any unpaid balances.
9. Other Duties as Needed:
Provide administrative support to healthcare providers, assisting with telephone triage, remote patient monitoring, and other patient care tasks.
Coordinate patient referrals, follow-up care, and medical documentation as required.
Perform other administrative duties as assigned to support the office operations.

Qualifications:
Experience: Experience with AthenaOne EMR, medical billing, and patient care coordination is preferred. Previous work in a medical setting is highly beneficial.
Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other administrative tools. Familiarity with insurance policies, benefits, and requirements is essential.
Organizational Abilities: Ability to multitask, stay organized, and handle multiple responsibilities with attention to detail.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patients and healthcare providers.
Personality: A pleasant, empathetic personality with a patient-centered approach to customer service.
Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using
