ROLE SUMMARY

We are hiring a Marketing Operations & SEO Execution VA to own day-to-day marketing execution across SEO, website content, email marketing (Brevo), campaign coordination, and reporting.

We're a small, tight team. Our other VAs have been with us 3+ years, and we're looking for a long-term teammate to grow with us — not a slot to fill.

The role is full-time, long-term, with a paid 4–6 week ramp at part-time hours (20–25 hrs/week) so you can learn our systems. If you're capable of carrying the role at that pace, we scale you to 40 hrs/week from there. Strategy and high-level priorities come from management and an SEO expert. You own implementation, monitoring, coordination, and follow-through. Over time, you are expected to need less guidance, not more.

This is not a junior VA role and not a freelance SEO consulting gig.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

On-page SEO & website execution (core)


Implement on-page SEO on PrestaShop (titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal linking, alt tags, basic QA).
Upload, format, and optimize content across category pages, product pages, FAQs, and blog posts.
Monitor Google Search Console and keyword tracking; spot trends and propose actions.
Coordinate with the SEO expert for audits, priorities, and review feedback.


Off-page SEO & backlink management (core)


Own the backlink building program: strategy, target list, prospect qualification, and placement QA.
Run outreach yourself when needed, and coordinate with an outreach specialist if/when one is added to the team.
Maintain the outreach tracker (prospect status, site DA, anchor text, outcome) and report monthly on placements and link quality.


Content creation & QA (AI-assisted, core)


Draft, optimize, and improve SEO content using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude) and SEO content tools (e.g., SurferSEO, Frase, or similar).
QA AI-generated content for accuracy, brand fit, and SEO performance before it goes live.
Improve existing category/product copy, FAQs, and blog posts. We have a content writer for long-form, but you'll handle short content and AI-assisted optimization.
We use AI as a workflow tool, not a shortcut. Comfort with AI-assisted content is expected and welcomed.



Email
marketing & automations (Brevo)


Manage ongoing campaigns and automations.
Monitor performance, maintain list hygiene, run basic testing/optimization.
Research, propose, and implement new automations as the program matures.


Campaign & calendar management


Own the marketing calendar — what gets published/sent and when, within agreed priorities.
Turn high-level ideas into schedules, briefs, and deliverables.
Coordinate with Creative/Social and content contributors to hit deadlines.


Reporting & coordination


Track key SEO/email/campaign KPIs and maintain a Looker Studio dashboard.
Report what's actually useful — no vanity metrics.
Keep workflows, documentation, and calendars organized.


REQUIREMENTS


3+ years in digital marketing, SEO execution, or marketing operations.
Hands-on SEO implementation on a CMS/e-commerce site.
Hands-on experience with Brevo, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or similar.
Comfortable with GA4 and Google Search Console.
Ability to write, edit, and improve SEO-friendly content (categories, products, FAQs, blog) — including AI-assisted drafting and QA.
Strong written English, reliable execution, self-managed — we don't micromanage.


NICE TO HAVE


PrestaShop experience.
Looker Studio.
Experience with AI content tools (SurferSEO, Frase, Clearscope, Jasper, etc.).
Backlink outreach track record (cold outreach, guest post placement, partnership links).
Experience with regulated/compliance-sensitive products (botanicals, supplements, skincare).


THIS ROLE IS NOT


A basic VA/admin role.
A "just upload and follow checklists" role.
A freelance SEO consulting role with multiple clients.
A job where everything is spelled out step-by-step forever.
An affiliate program or loyalty system management role (these sit elsewhere on our team).

ROLE DETAILS


Full-time long-term position. Starts at 20–25 hrs/week for the first 4–6 weeks, scaling to 40 hrs/week once you're up to speed on our systems.
4+ hours/day of overlap with CET working hours required. Async-friendly outside the overlap window.
Deadline reliability is essential.
