Landscaping Design CAD Draftsman

We are a landscape design company in Los Angeles, California, in the United States. We need a very experienced AutoCAD design draftsman who is familiar with drafting schematic design plans for US-based interior and landscape designers. Must have 5+ years of AutoCAD drafting experience, excellent english writing skills, be proactive and a self-runner.

We will give you an AutoCAD file that has the base plan for a yard we are going to design. We will also give you a hand sketch of what to draw in the yard. We'll also give you samples of previously completed plans we want your drafting to look like, and a CAD file that has our standard symbols, hatches, etc to take from.

Please include work samples with your resume and references we can contact. There will be a 2-week trial period which you will be paid for, to determine your skills and proficiency, prior to committing to a long term salaried position. The hours will be 8AM to 5PM Philippines time so that your work can be done during our evening hours.

Skills are something that can be learned and perfected over time. As corny as it sounds, there are 3 qualities that we ar looking for:

Integrity, Commitment and Desire to Learn.

Integrity. You are a good fit if you can be honest with your fellow team members. Open communication and honesty are paramount to myself and the team. If you aren't able to hit a deadline or made a mistake, be upfront about it, we are all human after all.

Commitment. We are looking for someone who is looking for a long term relationship with the expectations that this will become full time. If you're just looking for a few months of work, this is not for you.

Desire to Learn. We are a small team, but growing fast. We want people who are open to learning new skills and taking on new projects. If you’re not excited about improving your skills this is not for you.
