We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive IT Manager to oversee our IT infrastructure and support our team through an initial setup phase and ongoing maintenance on a retainer basis.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated IT Manager to manage our IT infrastructure, ensuring it meets the needs of our diverse operations. The role will initially involve an intense period of setting up systems and processes, followed by a transition to a retainer model for ongoing support and maintenance. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, highly organized, and possesses excellent problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Initial Setup Phase:
Assess current IT infrastructure and identify areas for improvement.
Design and implement robust IT systems, networks, and security protocols.
Set up hardware and software solutions, ensuring compatibility and efficiency.
Establish data management and backup procedures.
Implement cybersecurity measures to protect company data.
Train staff on new systems and IT best practices.
Develop and document IT policies and procedures.
Ongoing Support and Maintenance:
Provide ongoing IT support to ensure smooth operation of systems.
Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and software.
Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues in a timely manner.
Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations.
Manage software licenses and vendor relationships.
Conduct regular system audits and updates.
Provide training and support to staff on IT-related matters.
Project Management:
Oversee IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Coordinate with other departments to understand and address their IT needs.
Manage IT budgets and allocate resources effectively.
Report on IT performance and project progress to senior management.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay up-to-date with the latest IT trends, tools, and technologies.
Identify opportunities to enhance IT systems and processes.
Provide recommendations for technology upgrades and improvements.
Implement best practices for IT management and cybersecurity.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an IT Manager or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, and security protocols.
Proficiency in IT management software and tools.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong organizational and project management abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High degree of professionalism and discretion.
Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft) are a plus.
