Full-Time Video Editor

Company: Damon Gettier & Associate REALTORS, brokered by REAL, LLC is a real estate brokerage serving the community in central and southwest Virginia. Additionally, we have a total of 7 different companies that we are looking to have a video editor edit content for. While we have 1 editor currently, we are in search of adding 2 more to our team.

Responsibilities:

-Produce short-form (e.g., Instagram Reels, TikTok) and long-form (e.g., YouTube videos) content.
-Edit raw footage into professional videos for social media platforms. Relying more on editing cuts than graphics, effects, overlays, etc., to create engagement.
-Color grading/correction techniques to enhance video quality.
-Add text to videos to effectively communicate messages and create visual interest. Keeping in mind elements like uniformity, hierarchy, contrast, readability, and proper formatting is crucial.
-Work with our videographer and social media manager to ensure the final product aligns with creative vision.
-Manage and export footage, ensuring all technical requirements and specifications are met for different platforms.
-Revise edits as needed, responding to feedback from teaUpgrade to see actual infombers and clients. Goal is to provide you with guidelines, samples/examples/references, and feedback/revision notes, then have you (the editor) be able to follow those tools and take it from there.

Requirements:

-Work Monday-Friday from 8am est to 5pm est remotely
-Proven Experience: Strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in editing raw footage into high-quality videos for social media platforms.
-Quick turnover rate in editing high quality work
-Attention to Detail: eye for detail and ensure video content is polished and professional.
-Ability to color correct footage
-Can execute techniques like masking and removing unwanted objects in videos. We need someone who can remove a portion of our logo in few of our videos' background
-Text/Typography Skills: Proficiency in adding engaging and straightforward text/typography that complements video content.
-Expertise in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and familiarity with importing/exporting footage in various formats.
-MUST speak, read, and write in English fluently. Must know & implement proper grammar rules.
-Ability to work closely with videographers and other teaUpgrade to see actual infombers to implement feedback and revisions.
-Access to a computer, video editing software, and high-speed internet is required to carry out tasks efficiently.
-MUST use our work software: Insightful.

Bonus Points for:

Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
Familiarity with SEO optimization for video content.
