Full-Time Architect (Australian Projects Experience Required)

We are seeking a full-time Architect with proven experience working with Australian clients or Australian architectural firms. The ideal candidate must have a solid understanding of Australian building codes, town planning regulations, and documentation standards.

Required Experience

Must have worked with Australian architectural firms or Australian clients
Strong knowledge of Australian town planning regulations, zoning laws, and building codes (NCC preferred)
Experience preparing planning applications, DA/CDC submissions, and construction documentation for Australia
Familiar with Australian council requirements and approval processes

Responsibilities

Prepare architectural drawings and documentation for Australian residential and/or commercial projects
Ensure all designs comply with Australian standards and local council requirements
Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and project stakeholders
Assist in preparing development applications (DA) and construction certificates (as applicable)
Revise plans based on client and council feedback
Maintain high-quality drafting and documentation accuracy

Required Skills & Software

Proficient in AutoCAD (required)
Revit experience is a strong advantage
SketchUp or other 3D modelling tools preferred
Strong understanding of construction detailing
Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow Australian drafting standards

Soft Skills

Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Able to work independently and meet deadlines
Proactive and detail-oriented
Comfortable working with international clients (Australian time zone experience preferred)
