Chasers Automotive is a vehicle acquisition and remarketing business based in Florida. We're building internal tooling to scale how we source, evaluate, and resell vehicles — and we need a solid developer to continue building and maintaining that platform.
This role can start part-time or milestone-based and grow into full-time for the right person. If you're a developer who's interested in more than just writing code — someone who can take ownership, communicate clearly, and eventually wear a few hats — read on.
The Stack
- Backend: Python, FastAPI
- Frontend: React, TypeScript
- Scraping / automation: Playwright
- Database: PostgreSQL
- Task queue / caching: Celery, Redis
What You'll Do
- Take ownership of an existing codebase and continue development — this is not a greenfield project
- Fix bugs, improve performance, and ship new features on a regular cadence
- Work with web scraping pipelines (Playwright) and keep them reliable as target sites change
- Build and maintain API integrations with third-party platforms
- Communicate clearly about progress, blockers, and timelines — no radio silence
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Solid Python experience — you're comfortable with FastAPI, async patterns, and writing clean, maintainable code
- React + TypeScript frontend experience — you can build functional UI without needing a designer to hold your hand
- Hands-on Playwright experience — you've written and maintained scrapers or automation scripts
- PostgreSQL proficiency — you write your own queries, you understand indexing, you don't just use an ORM blindly
- Experience with Celery and Redis for background tasks and caching
- Self-directed — you can read existing code, understand what it's doing, and extend it without step-by-step instructions
- Strong written English for async communication
Bonus (will move you to the top and or full time oppurtunity):
- Any familiarity with Go High Level or marketing automation tools
- Interest in eventually contributing beyond pure development (light VA tasks, research, etc.)
If you're a developer who also has Go High Level experience or is open to picking it up, there's a strong case for a full-time role with expanded responsibilities!!
Send a brief message (keep it under 200 words) that includes:
1. A link to one project or repo you've worked on that uses this stack (or a close subset)
2. Your experience with Playwright specifically — what kind of scraping or automation have you built?
3. Your preferred engagement model (part-time vs full-time) and your availability
