Hi, we’re Elaine & Yohan, founders of CDC Dance Academy - an online platform focused on Afro-Cuban dance, music and culture, with students and followers across Europe and beyond.
We’re looking for a creative and reliable freelance video editor to help us turn raw dance footage into engaging content for social media and YouTube — and help get that content out consistently across our platforms.
Our content ranges from dance tutorials and performances to cultural and musical education, so we’re looking for someone who can understand not just video editing, but also rhythm, movement and storytelling.
What you’ll be doing
• Editing raw footage into short-form content (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) and longer YouTube videos
• Cutting with the music: feeling the rhythm, accents and energy, not just trimming clips
• Formatting videos for different platforms
• Writing captions and relevant hashtags
• Scheduling and posting across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and
• Helping us maintain a consistent style and presence online
What we’re looking for
• Strong video editing skills (portfolio required)
• A real feel for rhythm and movement - this is essential
• Experience editing for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube (short + long form) and
• Understanding of what works on different platforms
• Organised, reliable and able to work independently
• Good communication in English
• Available around 3 hours/day, 5 days a week
Bonus if you have:
• Interest in or connection to Latin, Afro-Cuban or world dance/music
• Spanish language skills
• Experience with scheduling tools like Buffer, Later or similar
