JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Federal Government Contract Writer to support our growing portfolio of U.S. government proposals. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical writing skills, a deep understanding of government RFPs, and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
• Read and analyze U.S. federal government RFPs, RFQs, and solicitations
• Draft and prepare competitive, well-organized, and compliant proposals
• Gather and compile quotes from subcontractors and vendors
• Work with the project manager on admin-related tasks tied to proposal development
• Ensure timely submission of all bids
• Collaborate with teaUpgrade to see actual infombers to develop innovative project narratives and technical responses
• Occasionally support with document formatting and light design tasks (a plus)

Required Qualifications:
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Must have written and submitted at least one U.S. government proposal (sample required with application)
•. Passion for writing
• Strong knowledge of contract writing, structure, and compliance
• Ability to understand and interpret technical and legal documentation
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable working under tight deadlines
• Ability to independently manage timelines, edits, and submissions
• Knowledge of subcontractor quoting and coordination

Preferred (but not required):
• Experience with Adobe InDesign, Canva, or other design tools
• Background in technical or grant writing
• Familiarity with Upgrade to see actual info, Upgrade to see actual info, or agency-specific portals
• Team oriented: You will be working directly with the CEO on bid proposals.
