Fabric Designer / Textile Design / Quilting

Position: Full-Time Fabric Designer:

We are seeking a full-time fabric designer to create original, cohesive digital collections for the quilting fabric industry. This position requires strong design skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of what quilters look for in fabric.

Responsibilities:
- Design full quilting fabric collections, including main prints, coordinates, and blenders
- Create seamless repeat patterns and manage colorways across a collection
- Prepare clean, production-ready files (300 DPI, CMYK, repeat-ready)
- Develop digital mockups of quilts, fabric bolts, and swatches for marketing and internal use
- Collaborate with company owners on themes, design direction, and deadlines
- Stay current with seasonal trends and themes relevant to the quilting industry

Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and/or Photoshop (or equivalent design software)
- Experience in surface pattern or textile design
- Strong understanding of pattern scale, repeat structures, and color theory
- Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple collections at once
- Portfolio showcasing relevant textile or pattern design work

Preferred but not required:
- Familiarity with the quilting industry and typical fabric usage
- Experience preparing collections for production with fabric companies or print-on-demand platforms
