Construction Takeoff Specialist / Electrical Estimator Assistant
Part-Time | Long-Term Opportunity

Our client is a growing electrical subcontracting company based in Los Angeles, California, and we're looking for someone who can help them stay organized, support estimating process, and take ownership of important day-to-day tasks.

This role is a mix of construction takeoffs, plan markups, project documentation, and data management.

We're not looking for someone who needs constant direction. We're looking for someone reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of learning quickly. If you're comfortable working with construction drawings, Bluebeam, and project documentation, we'd love to talk.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll work directly with the owner and support active construction projects by helping review plans, organize project information, and maintain accurate records.

Your responsibilities will include:

-Reviewing electrical construction plans and drawings in Bluebeam
-Marking up plans based on instructions and company standards
-Performing quantity takeoffs by counting fixtures, switches, receptacles, lighting devices, and other electrical components
-Logging completed takeoffs and submitting them for review
-Organizing project documents, submittals, RFIs, drawings, and related files
-Managing project information received through email
-Entering project data into our internal system for tracking and organization
-Maintaining accurate records and keeping documentation easy to locate
-Communicating when information is missing, unclear, or requires attention

What We're Looking For

-Strong written and verbal English communication skills
-Experience using Bluebeam Revu
-Comfortable reviewing construction drawings and blueprint sets
-Strong attention to detail and accuracy
-Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general computer applications
-Highly organized and capable of managing large volumes of project documentation
-Able to follow instructions and execute tasks accurately
-Self-motivated and capable of working independently
-Reliable, coachable, and professional

Preferred Qualifications

-Previous experience in construction, electrical contracting, estimating, engineering, architecture, or project coordination
-Experience performing takeoffs and quantity counts
-Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, construction documents, and project workflows
-Experience supporting contractors or subcontractors
