Join our supportive dermatology clinic team as a Virtual Medical Assistant! I’m a Virtual Assistant posting this position on behalf of our dermatology clinic. Our VA team enjoys growth, paid breaks, 13th month pay, and flexible time-offs. This role is primarily focused on live scribing during patient visits, with patient communication and scheduling support as needed.
We value long-term collaboration, growth, and creating a positive work experience for our team. Several of our VAs have been with us for over a year, some even longer!

What You’ll Do
Perform live audio scribing during patient visits, accurately documenting medical histories, physical exams, treatment plans, and procedures.
Prepare and maintain detailed patient notes for physician review.
Patient communication and appointment scheduling.
Support administrative tasks such as uploading notes, organizing records, and handling correspondence.
Collaborate with the dermatology team to ensure smooth clinic operations.
Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times.
When not scribing, you will be answering phones

Required Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant, medical scribe, or in a similar role (dermatology experience preferred)
Strong communication skills with a patient-focused approach
Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows
Availability to work 40 hours/week during Pacific Time hours, including weekends, maintaining a 5-day workweek
Comfortable being on camera, Hubstaff, and screen sharing during shifts
Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.)
Understanding of HIPAA and patient data confidentiality
Strong organizational and multitasking skills

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in dermatology or a similar medical specialty
Willing to learn about prior authorizations and/or medical billing
Tech-savvy, with the ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues

Technical Requirements
Mac desktop or laptop (8GB RAM, Core i5 or above)
USB noise-cancelling headset
Working webcam
Wired internet connection with minimum 75 Mbps

Trial Period
Candidates will undergo a one to four-week paid trial period to evaluate performance, workflow compatibility, and overall fit for the role
This trial also allows candidates to assess if the position aligns with their expectations and availability
Continued engagement or employment will be determined based on mutual fit and performance during the trial period
