JOB OVERVIEW

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist to play a key role in consolidating and analyzing data within our newly implemented Microsoft Fabric-based Data Lake. This role will focus on integrating, cleaning, and structuring data to support analytics, Power BI reporting, and AI model training. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data management, visualization, and governance.


Key Responsibilities
· Collect and interpret data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and other platforms.
· Support the Data Lake implementation by working with internal IT and business teams to ingest, cleanse, and standardize data from multiple sources.
· Design and manage data pipelines for staging, transforming, and curating data using Microsoft Fabric and Informatica.
· Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and semantic models for business intelligence reporting.
· Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accessibility across various structured and unstructured data sources.
· Collaborate with business users to identify key data requirements for data-driven decision-making.
· Assist in the development and validation of AI/ML models by providing curated datasets.
· Monitor data quality, performance, and governance frameworks to ensure compliance with organizational policies.


Qualifications
· 3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist.
· Strong knowledge of SQL for querying and managing large datasets.
· Experience in implementing data lake strategies, including familiarity with data lake platforms
· Experience with Microsoft Fabric for data warehousing, data pipelines, and analytics.
· Hands-on experience with Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, and report development.
· Understanding of ETL processes and cloud data platforms (Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, or similar).
· Experience with Microsoft Fabric
· Hands-on experience with Python, R or other scripting languages for data manipulation and analysis.
· Familiarity with Informatica or other data integration tools would be an asset.
· Ability to work with structured and unstructured data from various business systems.
· Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
· Working experience of machine learning and AI concepts to support AI model training.
· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a cross-functional team.


Home Office Requirements:
Internet Connection : Must be 25 mbps at the least, preferably wired connection with PLDT, Cable connection is fine if it's more than 5mbps. We DO NOT accept plug-in, wi-fi or wimax.
Computer/Laptop: The contractor must have a good working computer.
Headsets : The Contractor must have a noise cancelling headsets preferably Plantronics Blackwire C320M headsets. Assessment will be done during test calls.
Dedicated Home Office - Contractors are required to have a dedicated home office free from noise and distractions.
Webcam - for meeting purposes
Must be comfortable in working with Time Doctor/Screenshot Monitor
