JOB OVERVIEW

I'm a busy entrepreneur (and mom!) looking for a creative designer who can take a written post or a voice memo fro ---------- (and photos I share) and turn it into a carousel people swipe all the way through and save. Looking for editorial, collage-style, story-first.

__

About Me
I'm the founder of two ventures (a music/mental health nonprofit, and a creative agency), and I'm starting to document the third thing: my own journey building them. Your work would primarily focus on helping me build in public and share my story as I go all in on chasing my dreams.

I'm the face across all of this work. Your job is to make the writing and the story look as good as it reads.

__

What you'd actually do for me:

Take my raw material — written posts, LinkedIn content, voice memos, photos, screenshots — and design carousels that teach, tell a story, and get saved and shared.

Design carousels weekly for my account (likely 2 for my personal brand, 1 for my nonprofit)
Build a strong cover slide every time (the grid should look intentional)
Structure the swipe: hook slide, build, payoff, and a clean close or CTA
Repurpose my LinkedIn posts and Substack pieces into swipeable visual narratives
Work with my brand team to maintain a brand kit per account (fonts, colors, sticker/asset libraries) so each one is instantly recognizable
Build reusable templates so we move fast without looking templated, while still being able to work efficiently to create original content as needed
Keep files organized and versioned

The style I'm going for (important! bc I want our styles to align)

Think editorial collage with a story running through it. The reference accounts I'll send pair magazine-quality typography with playful, premium detail. Specifically:
>> Type that does the talking. Serif-and-sans hook treatments, a clear hierarchy, hooks that are honest and specific rather than bait. I don't do "you won't believe." I do "the corporate world taught me to shrink the thing I cared about most."
>> UI-element storytelling. iMessage bubbles, Notes-app cards, AirDrop popups, browser windows, "Comment X" prompts — used to frame a point, not as gimmick.
>> Collage and cutouts. Clean subject cutouts, tasteful floating objects, coffee, flowers, sparkle and star accents. Composited well, never cluttered.
>> A real narrative arc across several slides. Slide one earns the swipe; the last slide pays it off.
>> My tonal modes — warm, hopeful, human. PLUS aspirational but grounded, a little behind-the-scenes, a little aesthetic.

I would hope that this is a creative who is eager to contribute ideas as I will lean on their creative direction and expertise heavily, and we would collaborate regularly. I want this to be a fun, co-creation and an engagement that can grow long-term.

You're probably a fit if you
> Are an Adobe Suite pro and can work in Figma (ideally avoiding Canva as much as possible but I am open!)
> Have a genuine eye for typography, layout, and white space
> Can cut out subjects and composite a collage that looks clean, not busy
> Build template systems so volume doesn't kill quality
> Can take a block of writing and find the swipeable story in it
> Hit deadlines and communicate clearly
NOTE: Bonus: light motion (animated carousels), brand-kit maintenance, and a real interest in mental health, music, or brand culture. People who care about the mission design better here.

How to apply
>> Send me a message here with your CV and/or portfolio so I can get a feel for your experience and your skills. I would love to see your portfolio, with various carousels you designed (ideally not just static quote graphics) and/or handles for accounts you have worked with directly to create content
>> For 1-2 of your case studies, please tell me what you did (Did you build it from scratch, structure the story, or work from a template?)
>> Your rate in USD and availability - please note that I am on a limited budget presently so I am looking for a reduced rate for the first 90 days with potential to go to retainer and/or increase rate for the right fit in 90 days.
