Lastly, as you might expect of a finance company, we work really hard when we need to, but we don’t work hard just for the sake of it. We don’t miss our kids’ concerts, we work out during the day and we usually sign off early on Fridays.

About the position
You’re an experienced Controller, with experience in leading a Bookkeeping Team who are passionate about having a real impact on people’s lives. The work you do for our clients helps them truly unplug on vacation, have more time with their kids, and get back to enjoying running their businesses.
You will have two major accountabilities:
Managing, coaching and training our bookkeeping team and being a technical resource for tricky accounting questions/tasks.
Ensuring that our bookkeeping teaUpgrade to see actual infoets client deadlines, expectations and compliance milestones (tax filings, year end prep, etc)
You will be working in a wide range of tech/software platforms including Netsuite, Shopify, Quickbooks Online, Xero, Hubdoc, Dext, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Upgrade to see actual info, Amazon Seller/Vendor, Rippling, Gusto, Upgrade to see actual info and more.

What you will do

Time Zone
? We are hiring two controllers. One for PST/EST time zone and one for London, UK timezone. You will work 9am-5pm in the chosen/preferred timezone.


Controller
? You will assist the team with parent-subsidiary consolidations
? You will optimize financial processes and ensure accuracy
? You will maintain adherence to accounting standards and regulations
? You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and timely financial reporting
? You will establish and maintain robust financial controls and procedures
? You will coordinate external audits and ensure tax compliance
? You will collaborate with other departments to support company-wide initiatives

Bookkeeping Team Lead
? You will manage and accept all client SaaS accounts for your bookkeeping pod
? Making sure the teaUpgrade to see actual infoet client deadlines and expectations
? Escalate concerns to the Senior Leadership team
? You will make sure that clients answer bookkeeping questions and provide any info needed for the bookkeepers to complete their work
? You will provide assistance to the bookkeeping team on technical, audit or other accounting standard questions
? You will help the bookkeeping team map and optimize their processes
? You will review Bookkeeping teaUpgrade to see actual infombers’ performance
? You will check/approve time tracker (through harvest)

What you must have
? You have proven experience as a Controller or similar financial leadership role
? You have experience in a bookkeeping or accounting firm
? You’re tech-savvy and are able to troubleshoot many different types of technical issues
? You can use independent judgment, problem-solve, be creative and answer questions
? You’re comfortable adapting to change in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
? You have outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
? You handle ambiguity well and you take mistakes in stride (they are opportunities to learn)

Your experience and education
? You have 5+ years of experience in a finance and accounting roles
? You have an accounting or finance degree
? You have a Bachelor’s Degree (or Masters)
