Content Researcher

[SECRET] is a dynamic digital media agency specializing in podcasting, poised at the cutting edge of digital strategy and content creation. We’re seeking an extraordinary Content Researcher who can match our passion for innovation and excellence.

Role Overview:

As a Content Researcher your primary responsibility will be to produce content ideas for our clients. You will be responsible for researching various types of video content across multiple different social media platforms and news websites that will be used for “reaction” style video content. You will collaborate closely with various teaUpgrade to see actual infombers to curate and deliver weekly updates.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Use Instagram, YouTube, Upgrade to see actual info and Twitter to research video content that would be suitable for “reaction” style YouTube videos that will be created by our show host.
- You will need to have a good eye for content that would be entertaining, or educational for our host to “react” to and also be engaging for our audience.
- You will be expected to keep on top of current cultural trends in the category our host show is in, and continue to educate yourself on topics and ideas within that category.
- You will be asked to not just source content but also curate the list of content we send to our show host. So, you will need to be able to take on creative feedback and execute on it on a week to week basis.
- People to look for inspiration would be: Brett Cooper, Arako TV, Renaissance Periodization (we don’t want it to be fitness content).
- The Cut: Upgrade to see actual info - The Cut makes videos involving people ranking others attractiveness, doing speed dating involving a button, discussing their own dating experiences, Jubilee: Upgrade to see actual info - Ranking attractiveness, Middle ground videos, Democrats v. Republicans, women trying to pick up men, etc. For TikTok - Christian Walker is a good person to look at who also reacts to similar things our client would react to, someone our client has also reacted to in the past is Drew Afualo.
We expect you to use a specific username on each platform that is designed purely for our host’s show (we will provide this). This account will be private (not public) and be used as your one source for research content. We don’t want your own personal taste to overlap (where possible).

Education and Experience:
- Deep understanding of social media platforms and how to find, curate, and discover trends before anyone else. This will allow our host to have current cultural content uploaded on a regular basis.
- A strong creative eye for content that would be entertaining for our show host to react to and what good “reaction” content looks like.
- Fluency in English and Filipino; additional languages are a plus.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong research skills to gather information and insights for content creation.
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.
- Experience using Slack and Asana are preferable.
