JOB OVERVIEW

The Human Resources Assistant will play a pivotal role in optimizing our company's human resources. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing various HR strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent, ensuring the company's overall success and growth. The role requires exceptional interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of HR policies and procedures, and the ability to balance employees' needs with the company's goals.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

- Talent Acquisition
Ensure job openings are posted in desired locations as needed.
Work with the Corporate/Marketing Assistant on posting job openings on social media platforms.
Conduct initial candidate screening and present a narrowed list of eligible candidates to the Director.
Assist the Director of HR with any other tasks involved in acquiring new talent.

- Employee Onboarding and Offboarding
Assist the Director of HR with any other tasks related to onboarding and offboarding employees.

- Performance Management
Assist the Director of HR with performance appraisal systems to assess employee performance and identify areas for improvement and development.
Provide guidance and support to supervisors and managers on handling performance-related issues.

- Employee Training & Development
Assist with developing and conducting training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
Assist with the creation and development of spreadsheets, reports, and PowerPoint presentations
Assist with innovative ways to help with employee development
Assist with client and corporate document audits and records review
Assist the Director of HR with any other tasks related to the training of employees.

- Personnel Administration
Provide guidance and support to employees as supervisors request from time to time and address any performance issues or concerns.
Manage employees’ time and attendance records to ensure accuracy by tracking hours worked.
Reviewing and approving timecards and ensuring compliance with labor laws and Company policies.
Assist the Supervisor in creating work schedules, assigning employee shifts, and coordinating staffing, to ensure adequate coverage.
Coordinate all employee PTO requests and schedule with the Supervisor, ensuring adequate coverage.
Support the Director of HR on all employee-related communications.

- Employee Engagement
Assist the Director of HR with all culture initiatives and event planning.
Ensure every employee receives an email recognition of their yearly anniversary.
Ensure each Branch location has branding materials on hand for new employee welcome bags.
Ensure that when an employee retires from the Company, the Social Committee holds a celebration event accordingly.
Coordinate events with each Branch’s social committee throughout the year.
Coordinate acknowledgment of other significant employee life events, such as births, deaths, and major illnesses.

- Record Keeping
Ensure all employee records are complete and stored in the appropriate location.
Assist the Director of HR with maintaining employee records and data
Assist the Director of HR with retrieving and analyzing data



Necessary Experience & Skills:

Previous Human Resource Experience required
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or similar field required
Strong problem-solving, follow-up, and multi-tasking skills
Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational and analytical abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Ability to meet tight deadlines and goals
Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint
Strong aptitude for learning new tools and software
Positive attitude and the ability to help train others
Conflict resolution. Ability to adapt to changes in the workplace
Demonstrates great research skills
Ability to work independently and as a team player.
Ability to work 40 hours a week following the US time zone.


Working Conditions:

Hours: Full-time position with some flexibility required for occasional overtime or after-hours work.
Location: Fully remote with required high-speed internet access and a suitable home office setup.
