Company Overview
We are a fast-growing company redefining the energy market with innovative, nootropic energy pouches. As we scale, we seek a Fractional CFO to oversee financial strategy, accounting, inventory management, and fundraising efforts. This role is ideal for a finance professional with deep expertise in QuickBooks, financial modeling, and operational strategy, who can act as a key employee on our path to growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Strategy & Accounting
-Maintain and oversee QuickBooks to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records.
-Manage bookkeeping, reconciliation, and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with
GAAP.
-Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and cash flow analysis.
-Develop and maintain budgeting processes, ensuring fiscal discipline.
-Optimize cash flow management and advise on financial risk mitigation.
-Ensure tax compliance and coordinate with CPAs for filings and deductions (e.g., domestic
product deduction).
2. Financial Planning, Projections & Fundraising
-Create and manage financial projections in Excel, incorporating revenue forecasts, cost of goods
sold (COGS), operating expenses, and profit margins.
-Conduct scenario planning and financial modeling to support decision-making.
-Provide strategic guidance on debt and equity fundraising, including SAFE agreements, venture
capital, private investors, and lender relationships.
-Assist in securing working capital loans, business lines of credit, and other lending options.
-Analyze funding opportunities and negotiate terms for financing deals.
3. Inventory & Operations Management
-Oversee inventory tracking and cost management, ensuring optimal stock levels and
forecasting demand.
-Implement inventory control systems to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
-Work closely with suppliers, manufacturers, and 3PLs to optimize supply chain operations.
-Develop and manage pricing strategies and COGS analysis to ensure profitability.
4. Strategic Decision-Making & Advisory
-Act as a key financial advisor to the founders, helping to shape long-term financial strategy.
-Provide financial insights for product expansion, marketing spend, and new market entry.
-Support financial negotiations with suppliers, vendors, and potential partners.
-Work with the legal team on contracts, NDAs, and financial agreements.
Required Qualifications
-Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel-based financial modeling.
-Experience in inventory management and operations (preferably in consumer goods or
supplements).
-Solid understanding of debt financing, venture capital, and fundraising strategies.
-Background in supply chain finance, cost control, and business scaling.
-CPA, CFA, or MBA in Finance preferred but not required.
-Experience working with startups, DTC brands, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) is a plus
