About the Role
We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and resourceful Business Research & Communication Assistant to support business research, information verification, and external communications.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys finding answers, analyzing information, verifying facts, and communicating with organizations to obtain accurate and reliable information.
AI tools such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, and similar platforms can be valuable research tools and are encouraged when appropriate. However, the goal is not simply to generate answers using AI. The ideal candidate must be able to verify information through independent research, official sources, documentation, and direct communication with relevant organizations when necessary.
We are looking for someone who can determine what information is accurate, reliable, and actionable—not just what information is easy to find.

Responsibilities
• Research business, product, and industry-related topics using online resources, official documentation, and other available channels
• Verify information by cross-checking multiple sources and assessing their reliability
• Contact organizations, suppliers, service providers, and other third parties to obtain or confirm information when necessary
• Identify inconsistencies, gaps, or unanswered questions and proactively seek clarification
• Organize findings into clear, concise, and actionable summaries
• Maintain accurate records of research findings, communications, and ongoing inquiries
• Follow up on outstanding requests and track progress until issues are resolved
• Respond promptly to research requests and provide timely updates on progress
• Support business decision-making by providing accurate, well-researched, and verified information
• Assist with other business-related projects as needed

Requirements
• Excellent research, information-gathering, and problem-solving skills
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to verify information from multiple sources
• Ability to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and unanswered questions
• Excellent written English and professional communication skills

• Able to work independently, manage priorities, and follow through on tasks
• Proficient with Google Workspace, online research tools, and AI tools such as ChatGPT or Perplexity

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience as a Research Assistant, Virtual Assistant, Customer Support Representative, Administrative Assistant, or a similar role
• Experience working with startups or small businesses
• Experience handling business inquiries and external communications
• Experience conducting market, supplier, compliance, regulatory, or product research
