Bookkeeper / Financial VA

Hours: Part-time (5-10 hours per week)

About Me:
I'm a 24-year-old entrepreneur based in the UK running multiple income streams. I need someone to keep track of my personal finances, help me understand where my money is going, and help me build better spending habits. I want full visibility on my financial life week to week.
What You'll Do:

Review my bank statements and credit card transactions weekly across all my accounts
Categorise every transaction (rent, food, dining out, travel, subscriptions, transport, clothing, entertainment, health, business expenses, etc.)
Build and maintain a Google Sheets financial dashboard showing weekly and monthly spending by category
Track all income streams (salary, bonuses, agency income, other revenue) and show total monthly earnings
Send me a weekly financial summary every Monday — what I earned, what I spent, what I saved, and what I overspent on
Highlight my top 3 biggest spending categories each week so I can see where the money is going
Flag unnecessary or recurring expenses I might not be aware of (forgotten subscriptions, duplicate charges, etc.)
Help me set and stick to a monthly budget — flag when I'm approaching limits in any category
Provide monthly analysis — spending trends, month-on-month comparison, savings rate, and recommendations on where I can cut back or optimise
Track my net worth monthly (bank balances, investments, assets, debts)

Requirements:

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (MUST HAVE)
Strong Google Sheets or Excel skills (formulas, charts, conditional formatting, dashboards)
Excellent attention to detail — every transaction needs to be categorised correctly
Reliable and consistent — the weekly report must arrive every Monday without fail
Good written English
Able to handle sensitive financial information with complete confidentiality
Comfortable working with multiple bank accounts and currencies (GBP, USD, EUR)

Nice to Have:

Experience in personal finance management or budgeting
Knowledge of UK banking and financial products
Experience creating visual dashboards and spending breakdowns
Interest in personal finance and wealth building
