Bookkeeper
Job Type: Full-Time
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Pacific Time, with a 1-hour break
Salary: $1,200 per month
Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper with strong expertise in accounting, particularly within the construction or real estate industries. This role is critical in maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, handling reconciliations, and supporting overall financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of construction accounting principles and cost tracking, with minimal need for administrative support duties.
Key Responsibilities:
• Construction Accounting: Track project costs, manage job costing, and allocate expenses accurately across multiple projects or properties.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process and code invoices, manage billing schedules, and ensure timely payment and collections.
• Reconciliation: Conduct monthly bank, credit card, and vendor account reconciliations.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare periodic financial reports, summaries, and updates for management.
• Payroll Support: Assist in time tracking and basic payroll coordination as needed.
• Vendor Coordination: Maintain up-to-date records for vendors and contractors, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
• Document Management: Maintain financial records and support audit readiness through proper documentation and file organization.
• Software Utilization: Use accounting and property management tools such as QuickBooks, Avid, Yardi, Procore, and Dropbox.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of relevant bookkeeping or accounting experience, with at least 1 year in construction or real estate sectors.
• Proficiency in accounting software is required, particularly QuickBooks, Avid, Yardi, and Procore.
• Strong understanding of U.S. accounting standards and financial documentation.
• Experience with job costing, project tracking, and invoice management in a construction setting.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with integrity.
