Assistant Software Developer (FileMaker + Integrations)

We’re growing and looking for an assistant developer to work directly with the lead developer to build, maintain, and improve production systems. You’ll be working closely with the lead developer to: Build features, Fix real-world problems, Improve performance and usability, and Integrate with third-party systems (APIs, messaging, etc.). You’ll get exposure to architecture decisions, client workflows, and real production systems early.

Responsibilities:
- Build and modify FileMaker layouts, scripts, and schema
- Assist with API integrations (REST, webhooks, JSON)
- Debug issues across front-end, scripts, and integrations
- Write and optimize queries (FileMaker + SQL where needed)
- Help maintain data integrity and system performance
- Document systems and changes
- Assist in testing and deployment

Must-Have Skills:
- FileMaker experience
- Strong logical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Basic programming experience (any language)
- Understanding of APIs and JSON
- Ability to debug and trace issues independently
- Good communication (you’ll be working directly with the lead dev)

Nice-to-Have (Huge Plus)
- Experience with CSS, JSON, and Web Form Integrations
- Experience with Twilio, HubSpot, or similar APIs
- Familiarity with business systems (CRM, operations, logistics, etc.)
