We are a growing ADU (Accessory Dwelling Unit) design business seeking a talented and experienced Architect or Residential Designer to join our team full-time. If you are proficient in Chief Architect software and have a passion for designing small residential spaces, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
Design small ADU projects (Accessory Dwelling Units) that are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and compliant with local building codes.
Prepare detailed construction documents using Chief Architect software.
Collaborate with our team to ensure design intent and project requirements are met.
Make necessary revisions based on client feedback and project needs.
Ensure timely delivery of high-quality design documents.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an Architect or Residential Designer.
Proficiency in Chief Architect software is a must.
Strong understanding of residential building codes and construction methods used in California.
Excellent design skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a remote team.
Experience in designing ADUs or small residential projects is highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Educational degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
Experience with sustainable and energy-efficient design practices.
Knowledge of California zoning and building regulations.
