JOB OVERVIEW

DO NOT APPLY IF:

You can’t explain technical challenges for cross-device streaming.

You skip reading this post and ask for a call immediately.

Project Overview
I need an experienced Android developer to build a stable, high-performance casting/mirroring app for Smart TVs, Fire TV, Android TV, and similar devices. The app must support AirPlay, Chromecast (Google Cast), and Miracast to receive streams from iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac devices.

Reference Apps:

AirScreen (Primary reference): Upgrade to see actual info

second : Upgrade to see actual info

Key Improvements Over Existing Apps:

Better Stability: No crashes or connection drops during streaming.

Faster Performance: Low latency for real-time mirroring
Cleaner UI: Remote-friendly interface for TV screens.

Core Features
? AirPlay Support: Mirror/cast from iOS/Mac.
? Google Cast (Chromecast Alternative): Cast from Android/Chrome.
? Miracast Support: Mirror from Windows/Android.
? Optimized for TVs: Works on Fire TV
? Monetization: Free version for a limited time + paid upgrade via in-app purchases.

Bonus (Optional but Preferred):
???? DLNA support for local network streaming.
???? Custom branding options (for future white-labeling).

Latency: Explain how you’ll minimize lag (e.g., hardware acceleration, codec optimization).

Compatibility: Plan to test on Fire TV Stick 4K, NVIDIA Shield, Xiaomi TV, etc.

Open Source: If using/modifying open-source projects (e.g., Shairport-Sync), disclose this.

What I Expect in Your Proposal

1 Fixed Price Quote: Total cost for a working MVP (minimum viable product).
2 Timeline: Estimated weeks/months (I’m not in a rush—quality over speed).
3cTechnical Approach:

How will you handle AirPlay’s encryption and Apple’s restrictions?

How do you plan to optimize for low-latency streaming?
4 Challenges: Identify 2-3 technical hurdles you anticipate (e.g., Miracast fragmentation).
