We are seeking an Accounts Payable (A/P) Specialist to join our small, dynamic financial team. The A/P Specialist will be responsible for managing the end-to-end accounts payable process in a fast-paced environment at a growing company. This position is critical to our operations and requires a meticulous and dedicated individual with a strong work ethic.

TASKS:
1. Review, verify, and process all invoices for accuracy, validity, and compliance with company policies before making payments.
2. Manage the full-cycle accounts payable process which includes invoice receipt, coding, approval routing, data entry, disbursement, and filing.
3. Maintain updated vendor files and file numbers.
4. Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and exploring discrepancies, if any.
5. Ensure expenses are charged to appropriate GL accounts and cost centers by verifying entries and comparing to budget.
6. Manage weekly payment runs, including checks, credit card, ACH payments, and wire transfers
7. Respond to vendor inquiries promptly and professionally, fostering strong vendor relationships
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot payment-related issues, devise corrective measures, and develop proactive strategies to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
9. Perform necessary calculations related to vendor payments, such as deductions, penalties, etc., to ensure accurate and timely payments.
10. Assist in month-end closing and annual audits, preparing relevant reports as needed.
11. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies with invoices and payments promptly and efficiently.
12. Prepare and present various reports related to the accounts payable function, enhancing the transparency and effectiveness of our financial operations.

REQUIREMENTS:
1. 5 - 7 years of Accounts Payable experience with eCommerce business (ONLINE JOB, preferably)
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Experience with SAP, Netsuite or similar ERP software is a plus
3. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
4. High level of proficiency with A/P principles as well as general accounting principles
5. Advanced Excel and data management skills, including pivot tables and lookups
6. Strong attention to detail
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
8. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
9. A sense of urgency to complete tasks accurately and promptly
10. Organized home office setup, free of noise and distractions, with a dual monitor setup strongly preferred
11. Reliable power and internet connections, with backup systems in place
12. **Full-time position, 40 hrs/week, and must be amenable to work from either 8:00am-5:00pm or 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm CST, with a 1-hour mid-shift break**
