AI Developer

Digital Marketing Agency Experience Required | Remote

Compensation

$1,500–$3,500 USD per month, depending on experience, technical ability, automation experience, AI fluency, communication, and ability to build useful tools independently.

About Growing Pains Marketing

Growing Pains Marketing is a performance marketing agency focused on helping DTC eCommerce brands scale through paid social advertising, primarily on Meta.

We work with fast-moving brands in competitive and compliance-sensitive categories, including wellness, CBD-adjacent, research compounds, alternative products, and other restricted markets.

Our team uses AI every day to improve creative production, research, reporting, operations, automation, and media buying workflows.

We are looking for an AI Developer who has experience working with or inside a digital marketing agency and understands how agencies operate: client accounts, ad creative, media buying, reporting, SOPs, team workflows, dashboards, and automations.

This is not just a general coding role. We need someone who can build practical AI-powered systems that make the agency faster, smarter, and more efficient.

Role Overview

We are hiring an AI Developer to help build internal AI tools, automations, workflows, agents, dashboards, and integrations for our agency.

You will work with leadership, media buyers, creative strategists, project managers, designers, video editors, and operators to identify repetitive workflows and turn them into useful AI-assisted systems.

Your job is to help us use AI to reduce manual work, improve speed, organize information, support decision-making, and create internal tools that actually get used by the team.

This role requires both technical skill and practical agency understanding.

Must-Have Requirements

You must have:

Previous experience working with or inside a digital marketing agency.
Strong daily experience building with AI tools, LLMs, agents, or automations.
Experience with APIs, webhooks, databases, and workflow automation.
Ability to build useful internal tools, not just experiments.
Strong understanding of marketing workflows, creative production, reporting, or paid ads operations.
Ability to take messy business problems and turn them into working systems.
Strong written and spoken English.
Ability to communicate clearly with non-technical tea ---------- mbers.
Ability to work Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM EST.
Ability to submit a Loom video that is 5 minutes or less.

Please do not apply if you only build generic AI demos and have no understanding of agency workflows. We need someone who understands marketing operations and can build tools that solve real agency problems.

AI Requirement

AI is the core of this role.

You should be comfortable working with tools and concepts such as:

ChatGPT / OpenAI API.
Claude / Anthropic.
Gemini.

APIs and webhooks.
Vector databases or knowledge bases.
RAG workflows.
AI agents.
Prompt engineering.
Workflow automation.
Internal dashboards.
CRM and marketing platform integrations.

You do not need to know every tool listed, but you must be able to learn quickly and build practical systems using AI.

You will help build and maintain AI-powered systems across the agency.

This may include:

Internal AI agents.
Creative research tools.

Recommend simple solutions instead of overcomplicated systems.
Build quickly, test, and improve.

A dashboard that shows creative production status across clients.
A system that checks whether tasks have owners, due dates, assets, and deadlines.
